Backyard Budget Teardrop Trailer Project We found this post and thought it was amazing, not only the fact that the teardrop is just a little different and very well built. But if you look at all the pictures you will see where this trailer was made. Looks like to us that it is behind the house in the gravel parking area off the ally, in the snow! Wow, makes me feel spoiled to have a two car garage. Incredible, step by step documentation including pictures. Nice work Werner! Teardrop Camper Trailer Project Be sure to see all 25 steps Werner wrote: “It all started in 2009, after a trip to lake McConaughy in Nebraska, we were lured by a friend who had a sailboat with the promise of a nice lake, with sandy beaches, crystal clear water, and a nice camping…..everything was true but the wind, the frogs, the huge biting flies, and a massive category five thunderstorm that soaked us inside the tent, my wife said she had it with the tent and unless I find something else to camp, she was out”. The project is started… Teardrop Camper Trailer Project

Teardroppings – I love it!! This looks like a great start to an awsume teardrop blog, Hope we get more. Congrats on the new baby!! (pregnancy). All right. So. Enough procrastinating on the blog writing. Joe and I looked around for awhile for a decently priced, dependable trailer and decided we really liked the trailers sold by Harbor Freight. Plus Harbor Freight lets you get pretty much anything in the store for 20% with coupons from Joe’s motorcycle magazines. But Harbor Freight didn’t ever have the size trailer we wanted. Joe asked if they could order one to be shipped to the store for pickup. They said yes, but that we would not be able to use the 20% off coupon because it wasn’t “in stock” in the store. BS, I tell ya! I big load of BS. We just love the name: Teardroppings Wow, we just checked and found that the domain name: teardroppings.com is available! Just $9.99 a year from one of our sponsors, Idea Names

Tearjerkers Summer Gathering Crossroads of America July 14-17 2011 July Trailer Rally in Indiana, from: 48 Rob Board Administrator Hi all, One of the trailer groups I belong to is having a rally in July in Indiana. The group is focused on Teardrop trailers, but openly welcomes vintage trailers too. There are around 80 trailers registered so far, with probably 10-15 being non teardrop. If anyone is interested, you should make reservations fast. The Indiana park reservation system just opened a few days ago for summer reservations, and we (the gathering) have one of the two available campground loops almost filled. Once the local crowd starts reserving, it is unlikely there will be anything left… Here is a link to the gathering. http://cra2011.weebly.com/index.html Rob’s World Web Page!

one-of-a-kind teardrop trailer Ridin’ in luxury: by Kent Griswold on October 7th, 2010 This is a sweet little teardrop, built like a piece of furniture and with a price tag to go with it. Built by William Landivar, 60, of Boulder Creek, a one-of-a-kind teardrop trailer that is a sight to be seen. Made of rich mahogany and white oak wood, the teardrop is 15 feet long and 7 feet wide and weighs 1,700 pounds. His modern teardrop trailer, which he calls the Aero Madera or Flying Wood, is sleek and aerodynamic. Continue Reading Article… Photos by Lucjan Szewczyk/Press-Banner

Holds 7th Annual Gathering Second largest teardrop get together in the Midwest. Camp-Inn Travel Trailers of Necedah is holding its 7th Annual gathering at Juneau County Castle Rock Park this weekend. Owner Cary Winch said, “each year at this time we host a gathering of all Teardrop travel trailers. This is normally a nice event with 20-25 Teardrops in attendance and 50 or 60-people. This year, however, it has grown amazingly. We have 43-Teardrop trailers R.S.V.P. and 115 people. This will make this the largest Teardrop Travel Trailer gathering in the Midwest with the exception of the international gathering held biannually in Minden, Nebraska.” The Camp-Inn vintage styling is reminiscent of Teardrop trailers of the 1930’s and 1940’s, but the Necedah built camper trailers include air conditioning, a LP furnace, TV/DVD, stove, sink, sleeping for 2-4, and more. With uncertain fuel prices, a Camp-Inn Teardrop or Raindrop Trailer can be towed with most passenger cars, mini-vans, or small SUV’s.
